that thing called huling hirit sa tag-init. totoo ba? ok share ko nalang ganap namin sa inyo in dumaguete and siquijor. we depart Mnla thursday at 4pm via CepPac (ofcourse my delay na naman, but thats what you get in budget airline and a congested airport kaya sanay na ako.) we arrived dumaguete at almost 6pm, medyo pricey if you hire a tryke or van para dalhin kayo sa downtown. kaya dapat malakas ang haggling powers nyo, we got a van that will take us downtown for only 200php, keri na since 5pax naman kami.
we stayed in Grand Pension Hotel for 1600php a night for 5pax. konting refresh then walkathon attack na sa roxas blvd to inquire sa port going to siquijor the next day. meron silang schedule trip everyday at 7am, 10am and 2pm bound for siquijor. after that we decided to have dinner, I forgot the name of the place pero they serve ihaw-ihaw items na fish, pork and chicken its just accross sa parang rotonda near the port and silliman university. after dinner we chill at sansrival bistro to have some dessert.
chocolate banana cream cake.
iba talaga pag tiramisu, ang sarap lang. we also got concorde and ofcourse the fanous sansrival and silvanas.
we check-out sa hotel at 5:30am to catch the 7am ferry for siquijor, the ferry cost 145php per head including terminal fee, travelling time is about 1.5 hour. super ganda ng water in siquijor you can witness that sa port palang its turqouise blue green color is so relaxing in the eye, (ay wow! ang deep.) pagbaba palang in port madami na mag-approach sa inyo na tricycle and multi-cab driver to offer a ride. pero they will charge you above the suggested tariff, kaya what we do is naglakad kami palabas ng port and there we met kuya James, they charged us 150php to bring us to our accomodation, pero sa pag sa loob ng port they will ask for 300-400php. we also hire kuya James para i-tour na nya kami sa mga tourist spot in siquijor and we got him for 1000php the whole day.
may tour guide na kami may photographer pa.
1st stop: this public spring park where in pwede daw mag-swim, pero nung nagpunta kami walang taong nag-swim.
2nd stop: we also went to Coco Grove to check the place, I think ito na yung pinaka-expensive at class na hotel in siquijor.
3rd stop: this 400y/o balete tree, pwede magpa fish spa dito just pay 5php for the entrance, sabi ni manong bantay the water came daw sa ilalim ng balete tree. there are some small and medium fish na mag-suck ng dry skin ng feet nyo.
let me have my morning coffee. ;)
there is a tickling sensation everytime the fish will suck my feet skin.
the balete tree is so huge.
4th stop: san isidro labrador church in lazi siquijor.
inside the church, the church was built using coral reefs.
team braid hair.
native ube ice cream.
I travel so I could eat more. after bisiting church we decided to have lunch muna sa el monte resto bago kami magpunta sa cambugahay falls. :)
5th stop: the moment of truth. para marating mo ang falls you have to go down about 135 steps sabi ng mga local, pero ako hinde ko nabilang.
ganda!!! and the water is tama lang ang temperature.
bacause sometimes lying under the trees & walking barefoot on the earth is the most spiritual thing you could ever do in life. ansave? pa-deep ka teh.
when it feels scary to jump, that is exactly when you jump, otherwise you end up staying in the same place your whole life, and that I cant do. matigas din talaga ang ulo kahit alam ng bawal, iba talaga ang pagkakabagsak ko dito na feel ko yung likod ko sa ilalim ng tubig eh. but its fun!
6th stol: the salagdoong molave resort, dito pwede mo ma avail ang cliff diving na 20ft at 30ft. this one di ko na-avail kasi low-tide at walang available na life vest. haha!
ang ganda talaga ng water in siquijor, super calming.
after the salagdoong beach nadaanan namin yung famous pan de bisaya store, so we grab na some bread and drinks na muna dahil napagod kami mag-beach. we literally explore siquijor in one day, dapat magpunta pa kami sa isang falls pero wala daw water sabi ni kuya. we decided to buy ingredients for our dinner sa market, magluluto sila ng sinigang na isda and ginataang isda. almost 6pm nang matapos kami sa lahat ng activity including pamamalengke, too bad naubusan ng lpg gas kaya past 8pm naka-lapang ng dinner pero keri lang masarap naman our food eh.
on our 3rd day we decided to catch the earliest ferry going back to dumaguete to do apo island. 6am yung unang alis ng ferry from siquijor to dumaguete. we stayed again sa grand pension hotel, we also decided to DIY nalang ang apo island since naubusan kami ng slot for apo island tour ng harrolds, sila yung no.1 na nag-aarange ng tour in dumaguete (hello! para naman kasing hinde sila marunong gumamit ng phine, been calling them pero no answer sa mobile, nung sumagot too late na at ubos na daw slot.) the tour na offer nila include everything na according to my research transfers, lunch, boat, etc. and it cost 1000php. pero since no slot na nga, DIY moment nalang we went to the ceres bus station going to malatapay kung saan yung enrty point for apo island. the bus ride cost 50php at parang mga 30mins ride lng, after that you have to register sa tourism office ng malatapay and rent a boat to apo island na roundtrip , for 4 person it will cost 2000php for 5person and above naman its 3000php. we met a solo american traveller kaya we split the bill in 6pax so 500 per head.
then pagdating sa mismong island kailangan mo naman magbayad ng entrance na 100php each. we also occupied a cottage ay hinde table and chairs lng pala yun na 300php, pero nice naman sila ate kasi sila nadin nagbantay ng things namin. swimming time if you dont know how to swim you can rent a life vest for only 100php, snorkling gear is also 100php at madami pa sila pinaparent like scuba shoes and flipper. a tour guide is required kasi whis is 300php at ang ratio dapat is 1 tour guide : 3 tourist, ofcourse they will guide you sa pag-find ng pawikan and also pag take ng pictures nyo with the pawikan.
may konting briefing pala bago kayo palanguyin sa dagat.
hoy Nemo, nakita mo ba si Dory?
there is a lot of variation ng corals.
ako talaga yan, si kuya sumingit eh. I need to take swimming lesson na talaga.
its a one of kind experience kaya i-avail nyo din. we left the island mga 3:30pm then, by the way 30-45mins ang boat ride pala. we reached our hotel almost 6pm na yata. syempre last day na kaya sulitin na walwalan na. cheret lang! we decided to have our dinner and konting drinks sa hayahay view deck retaurant along roxas blvd. may pabanda sila that starts 10pm, diko sure if everyday yun or during weekends lang. :)
lumpiang bangus and onion rings.
you have to try this dumaguete express ang sharap!!! we also got pancit bihon, garlic shrimp, inihaw na pork belly, sisig and fried fishball, I forgot to take pocs na sa sobrang gutom past 8pm na kasi yan dahil we have to wait for others pa na nagpa-massage. :)
oh thats luis, sya yung na-meet namin papunta ng apo island, bilang kilala tayo sa pagiging very friendly at hospitable. we invited him for dinner and some drinks at game na game naman si kuya.
on our last day, we basically spend the time lang sa hotel at naghintay ng check-out then had lunch sponsored by the Africa dahil pre-bday ni Wrigley, and we stayed nalang sa Sansrival bistro habang naghihintay sa time ng flight namin.
brazo de mercedez.
sa main resto hinde complete ang cakes nila and pasalubong items. so kung gusto nyo ng complete items sa may likod kayo ng sansrival bistro magpunta.
pesto lasagna, my 2 favorite pasta in 1. I have to make this ng version ko. napaka sarap eh!
happy bday Wrigley!!
the famous Sansrival of Sanrival bistro.
the complete cast. burp!
my OOTD. Ü
daghang salamat Dumaguete and Siquijor.
light and love,
